SriLanka government fail to implement the promise

SriLankan government fail to work according to the promises which was made by the Lankan delegates at the UNHRC session to appoint a special judiciary commission to investigate on the war crime allegations carried out by the Lankan Navy during the last stage of war in SriLanka.
During the UNHRC session held on 27th of February Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe promised to appoint special judiciary commission to hold investigations on war crime allegations of Lankan Navy in SriLanka.
Minister also said according to the proposal of LLRC commission government would appoint Navy Court Martial to hold investigations on war crime allegations in the country.
But since end of one month time period government fail to take action on this issue.
It was now clear that Lankan government not interested to appoint a Navay Court Martial to hold investigations against Navy involved in the war crime allegations.
Commenting this Navy Commander Kosal Warnakulasooriya stated all the investigations would be carry out by army.
Spokesman of the SriLankan Army Brig. Ruwan Wnigasuriya stated time period no given for court martial appointed by the government to hold investigations on war crimes which occurred during the last stage of war in the country.
At present “we are carrying out investigations this regard. Time period not given by the government to end our investigations in the country”
This was a long term investigation. We need to inquire many people this regard and also need to submit clear report this regard.
We do not release further details about the report until we release to the society.
